So i have white 1999 honda civic ex and I was wondering if a black hood would look okay with it or should I just save up for a carbon fiber one? any suggestions?

I would save for a carbon fiber.

A mismatched hood just looks like you replaced the hood with a junkyard hood and can't afford to get it paint matched.

you could wrap it with the 3m carbon fiber stuff. way cheaper, and it will come off when you get tired of it

This is always an option as well.

If you want a "black" hood mainly for aesthetics, definitely wrap it. Cheaper than buying a CF hood. But an actual black hood just looks tacky / cheap.

..Grab a buddy and wrap it up, I wrapped cars with advertisements on weekends and another set of hands makes a world of a difference.

get a real cf.. is better, lighter.. and the original is always better than a cheap solution
he isnt making a race car,

real cf hood for looks = 6-700 bucks

cf wrap for looks = 150

you do the math. carbon fiber is flimsy as f**k, and fades like crazy, its a waste of money, i had one and HATED IT. it stayed in a garage most of the week, i drove it maybe 2 days a week and 1 day on the weekends only when it was nice, never saw rainy weather, and still faded and peeled clear on the carbon, f**k CARBON FIBER /Thread
