chances are its the head, but its possible for both. i would just get the head done and throw it on. if you had a deck ruler to check it would be nice. a regular ruler wont be exact enough

with the dsm the head gasket had blown on the previous owner he went to some shady shop they told him the radiater was the problem. They charged him like 300 bucks to put it in then let him leave and going back down the highway with the head gasket still blown so it overheated again and warped the head.
Yeah, mine got to a little over 3/4 on the temp scale twice, so I think that could have been enough.

I would just do the head, but I'm worried I'll take all the time to take it apart, get the head milled, and put it back together and there will still be a coolant leak...

Thanks man!

No too much to update on my car. I am taking the head off tonight and dropping it off at the machine shop on Monday.

I went to the Performance and Style show at the Carlisle Fairgrounds today. Here are some of the cooler cars I saw:

RHD EK hatch with a Domani front end

Widebody R34 GTR from Canada

Super clean RHD CRX

CRX convertible??

Another RHD EK hatch

Nice coupe on sitting on Works

Burnout competition!

I took everything off the head last night, with the exception of the head studs. When I went to take them off this morning, the one in the front corner near the transmission, where I was seeing the coolant leak, was much looser than the rest. I checked the block and head with a metal ruler and I flashlight, both appear to be straight. I still think I'm going to take it to a machine shop tomorrow to have them check the head.

What kind of cars do his brothers have? They were probably there too.

Oh haha ok. Well when I saw that hatch, I thought of you because I know you've been contemplating doing a front end for awhile.

I dropped my head off at the machine shop this morning on the way to school. They called me before the day was over to say I could come pick it up. It wasn't really warped, but they said it wasn't perfectly flat, so they refinished it for me. They also pulled out two broken bolts and cleaned the whole thing. I was really impressed, definitely worth the money.

Yeah I was super happy. I didn't even ask them to clean it. Oh and they pulled out to broken bolts for me.

I didn't have time to take a lot of pics, but it's been awhile so I thought I would give you guys some.

Here is the head, waiting to be put back in.

Also did some stuff to the interior...

Up next: S2K steering wheel and cluster

Also, this is one of the reasons I've been so busy for the last couple weeks. One of my final projects for physics was a trip to Hershey Park and a full analysis on a roller coaster. Here is my model:

Can't wait to graduate! 7 days!
