91 honda civic LX High idle when cold

There are several issues ive run across.
Ill shift in to gear smoothly but when i get on the gas a little it jerks the car

Before my car sat for 3 1/2 weeks, it didnt scrape the ground, ever since its been running it scrapes metal on the ground.

If you push down on it then let the prongs rebound does it keep bouncing? If so ur shocks are bad. As for rough cold start try cleaning your fitv. Google how to clean fitv and u should find it

At the repair of the water pump, the timing belt was changed, the plugs and wires were changed, and the oil was changed (Running FRAM 6X tough guard oil filter + Castrol edge with syntec)

Ill let off the gas in a lower gear and it will jerk the car badly.

If the distributor cap and rotor are old, replace them. Also check the ignition timing.

I didnt pay for it, my ex gf stole the oil and the filter from walmart, hence why i dumped her ass. Anyway I have ran 2000 miles on this oil and its still clean, my moms taurus is running the same oil and an STP Filter and 2000 miles later its dirtier than my oil.

That did help alot, I noticed a big difference in performance as soon as i cleaned it and put it back on, she fired right up without hesitation on a cold start, which had i not cleaned it i would never have noticed, my car is running like a brand new car.



And to the guy who mentioned the distributor, the distributor is new the coil pack is new the rotor and cap are new the plugs and wires are new the timing belt is new and the timing is perfectly set.

The mounts holding the catilityc converter are shot one of them is holding by a thread the rest of the exhaust system from that on to where the muffler should be(I do NOT have a muffler on this car) is hanging lower than normal.

ah so it was just the exhaust hanging low, not the whole car. Makes sense now.
