welcome to the site
what are your power goal, budget,mechanical abilty because an NA deseries even mini me swapped and built to hell does not make very much hp and will be very expensive in building the sohc boost is a much cheaper way to go.
and you can make 200whp on stock internals with a good tune.
tune is defintly the most important part of any turbo build though so defintly dont cheap out on it.

WELCOME !!! I am the exact same: just got a '98 dx as well as a long background in the dsm crowd. I got my honda just for the fuel efficiency however.
