Exhaust question: 2000 Si

I'm installing a Skunk2 Megapower Tri-Y header (2.5in collector) and a Megapower R exhaust system (70mm). Should I use a 2.5 test pipe or have one made to match the 70mm exhaust? This is a NA setup at the moment. Thanks

You really won't feel the 6-7mm difference..

I'd go with the 2.5 inch. But like Death said, you won't notice the difference. Plus you don't wanna go too big on an N/A setup.

All I'm talking about is the test pipe. I already have the exhaust system. I'm wanting to know if I should match the exhaust (70mm) or the Header collector (2.5in) with the width of the test pipe.

The 2.5 will suffice. You really won't gain anything even if you match it to 70mm. They've done a test with an em1. Don't remember where I read it from but switching from a high flow cat to a test pipe will net you........

Well, after talking to a tuner and local performance shop. They are going to make a 70mm test pipe to match the exhaust.

If you got the money or getting it done for free, then go for it! More power to you.

2.5 to a 70mm won't really make any difference.
