I use the car wash's engine degreaser (its like a simple green around here) and it's low pressure and i soak the bay pretty good, and just rinse it out with the so called "spot free" rinse. Two quick questions:
How do you wash the bay with the engine in the car? Are you just careful around the electrical components?
How do you wax your bay? Like product and process...
Sorry if these have been asked before, but I was just thinking about it today. Keep up the progress. The weekly pictures are great and all, but we need updates!
Thanks man. I completely understand, family > K-swap. It will make it so much more satisfying when its completed if you have to wait a little bit.I use the car wash's engine degreaser (its like a simple green around here) and it's low pressure and i soak the bay pretty good, and just rinse it out with the so called "spot free" rinse.
For waxing, i use either turtle wax, or eagle one Nanowax (spray wax) when im lazy. Just wax normally like you would do on the body of the car.
The reasoning for no updates lately is because my wife hasn't been working for months now due to the pregnancy...and since im paying all the bills and some, I dont want to spend any money towards the car so I can always have money to fall back on.
your going to find that little cushion of money to fall back on very helpful, they say kids are expensive when they are still young and i guess statistic says that having a kid cost's like $11,000 a year, but heck i can guarantee you i haven't spent $11,000 on my son nor do i plan to hahaThe reasoning for no updates lately is because my wife hasn't been working for months now due to the pregnancy...and since im paying all the bills and some, I dont want to spend any money towards the car so I can always have money to fall back on.

Thanks Antonio for reading through this. As i'm getting older i'm learning to balance things better than I used to. Patience along with personal sacrifice is what has helped me to bulls like this and of course my wife being supportive of my hobby.Whoa! New to this site and first thread I see is "Finally have an EK" and I was amazed in how much dedication and time has gone into it so far do I started to read the thread from page one. I have honestly spent the past 2 days reading all 109 pages and I must say holy sh**!! You sir are truly a role model in every sense of the word. I'm 21 just recently had my first child (a boy who we named Noah similar to the name you chose for your son Nova lol I thought that was pretty cool) and it amazes me how you can balance everything so perfectly from housing payment to cell phone to car payments/insurance to groceries and everything else in between. I know I don't make near what you make seeing as how I work at a damn feedyard -_- but still it's remarkable! I still have trouble on spending money on stuff I don't need and after I've bought I'm like "f**k what was I thinking!?" and later in I feel like s*** because I'm tight on money and my son needs his pampers and what not, an don't get me wrong my parents and gf's parents is welcomed but only to a certain extent. Anyways lol keep up the phenomenal work! And best of luck to you and your wife on your baby boy.
Antonio
If my son needs 11g's a year, he's gonna be made out of platinum lolyour going to find that little cushion of money to fall back on very helpful, they say kids are expensive when they are still young and i guess statistic says that having a kid cost's like $11,000 a year, but heck i can guarantee you i haven't spent $11,000 on my son nor do i plan to haha
Possibly for college....my lil brother goes to Texas A&M right now but scholarships and grants cover the majority of it keeping the cost down on him and my parents. If he didn't decide to move into a house it would be still be cheap.i can see 11k being very easily achieved. especially when college rolls around
Damn! We're lucky, my mom and mother in law are both house wives now and we already arranged a whole "grandma babysitting schedule" haha.I spend over $6k a year on daycare for one kid. It all depends on how much help u get from family and cost of living and the kids age and s*** like that...
LmaoThis thread went from "CHILD'S *EK* ... finally i have an EK"
To "CHILD'S *BABY* ... finally i have a BABY"
That happened to my cousin and now he calls her mom instead of grandma...Must be nice, but i would rather pay for daycare than have my mom raise my kids. Social interaction with other kids is priceless and there is such thing as too much mommy and grandma time...
True....it won't be an all the time thing for sure but more of a financial crutch that's there when we need it.Must be nice, but i would rather pay for daycare than have my mom raise my kids.
