heyy everyone! im trying to change the tone of my exhaust. i have 2 1/4 straight pipe from header back and a greddy muffler. Its got a very ricey sound, and is loud of course lol. What im wondering is if a test pipe will give me a deeper tone? and if not is there any other way to make it sound different?

so you don't have a cat? adding a test pipe will make no difference since it's still a straight pipe. add a cat and a resonator and it will make it less raspy and a little quiet. it won't really change the tone though. you wanna change the tone, get a different muffler.

Ah but the final cut end DOES affect the sound to a degree Gentlemen!! A straight cut will produce more of a 'rappy' tone whereas the slant cut will produce more of the mellow drone!! That's why I chose 'bologna cut' tips so as to eliminate the choppy rapptone-I just get that custom baritone effect

Apexi resonator will do the trick. I have a yonaka and i love it, the sound is almost identical to an apexi ws2. A cat will help too

My Yonaka hooked right up to the factory cat. Yonaka also makes cats for about 80 bucks i believe. I wouldnt quote me on that though. :P
