Hello everyone, I was a member here a while back when I had my last honda however, I cannot find or remember my login info. I have had several cars since I started driving 1st was a 1990 teg ls motor, then 2005 rsx with k20,then 1995 teg b18c1, then 2003 nissan SE-R, most recenly 2001 mustang gt 4.6. Blah blah blah....Last week I sold the mustang which I only owned for a total of 3 months because I longed for another honda it seems once you own one anything else is just bs or doesnt satisfy you. So I purchased a unmolested 2000 civic si has intake and thats it! not even cd player! Has factory b16a2 and I have read that big power can come from these if done right. I have no interest in stayin n/a so I will likely buy turbo first. which route should I go???? serious answers only please and keep the hazing to a minimum I was here at one time! Thanks for any help in advance. answers should include places to shop and good turbo set ups for stock internals (never done a b16) good routes to Cheaper power not cheap bs parts but budget should be considered I do not have 20 grand to dump under the hood. Thanks!

This has been coming up more and more recently. B16s are a relatively high compression ratio motor which = bad for boost. The walls on the block are decent, but I would suggest sleeving if you plan to go over 0.5 bar (roughly 10lbs/boost). It all depends on what you want out of the car, and what your horsepower goals are. If you have an unmolested Si, I would personally keep it as close to stock as possible, make sure EVERYTHING works on it, clean up/fix anything that needs to be fixed, and maybe do some clean, tasteful exterior mods (lip kit, fogs, black housing CTR lights etc.). Just my $.02.
If you really are dead-set on boosting it, then you have a lot of research to do. Search here, search honda-tech etc. I've personally posted like 4 lengthy posts for beginners wanting to turbo their cars. I may even do a technical and see if the mods will sticky it.

I read somewhere that they were good for that but if they are high comp then I as well know that they are not. Which motor would be the best for boost then?? I know that low comp is ideal. thanks again!
