It doesnt fit. BUT, i figured out how i can make it work after pulling apart the oem steering wheel and the new wheel to check out the internals of them both.
ok, imma let u in on a secret on how hard its gonna be to make work...
the splines are the same, so it will fit on the FC column, but the shaft is too long and there are no holes for the turn signal cancellation.
im thinking if i cut down the shaft to the same length as the stock wheel then drill two small holes for the signal cancel that it will sit on the splines and will work perfectly for what i need. so, not really a big deal, but i love the wheel also, and i wanna make it work until i can afford my Keys! racing wheel!
Well i have been talking to a shop in California about everything i need to make this aem ems work on my truck and what sensors and shït i need and i realized how close i really am to actually starting this engine.
So i pulled the intake manifold and am starting to do some work so i can be ready whenever i have all my ducks in a row.
First seperated the upper and lower intake manifold since i am running a fd uim on the s5 lower. So i have to port match to my adapter plate.
The adapter plate on the upper...
shows how much i have to dremel off to port match for the adapter plate...
u dont wanna know how much these adapters go for... Talk about ridiculous, but necesary!
Im using the fd upper cuz it flows better and the throttle body is bigger. Also makes it easier to use the aem ems since i wont gave to change sensors. Just need to block off a few things and csll it a day...
Hoping to get atleast half a day in the garage tomorrow. Its really time to get busy on this damn truck!
