Ek cupholder

Hey guys just got super bummed,I was driving home and my Slurpee spilt all over my car because the cupholder doesn't really hold cups very well. Started wondering if anyone had modified it or swapped it out for something that holds cups better. All the DIY's I've seen seemed like a temporary ghetto ways of doing it to, I only want to do this once.

^. I have the 99 civic and my cupholders suck. I was wondering if i could upgrade or improve them as well.

I have a 1996 and my cup holders work great! Much better than the EG chassis cup holders.

What did they change from the 96-98 to the 99-00? Sounds rad to me I'm sick of spilling my medium slurpees!

My car holds medium (20 oz) drinks just fine, and large cups (32 oz) fit super snug. I swear, if the car was RWD you could drift and your cup would stay in place.

They don't hold water bottles very well though, the bottles are too narrow.

water's easier to clean up, hmm well my sister has a 96 coupe do you think simply swapping the cupholders would be easy or would I need to use some whiteboy ingenuity?
