2000 ex upgrades?

So I'm new here and I am going to get a classic mini and put a vtech in it. Right now I drive a 2000 ex and I like the motor (d16z7 I think) and I was reading up that you can get it to have over 200 hp pretty easily. So I was looking for some input from people who know about it. Thanks for any help!

You won't get much power out of a D-Series unless you turbo/supercharge/spray (nitrous) it. Otherwise, all motor is pointless. That is unless you're not looking for much more power than you have now. Your best option is to swap it out for a better motor. There are plenty of threads out there, just take a look around and do some reading. You'll need to set a budget and power goals to decide which swap you think would be the best.

I'll take some pictures later. And the engine is going in a classic mini which only weighs 1500 pounds so I don't need a tun of power. Im looking at around 200 to the wheels. I've looked on some forums and I've seen that people say they can get into the 13's pretty easily, but I'm not to sure if that's true.
