I know what mistake I made... hear me out first.
Just bought a 99 ex coupe. took it to the beach and back (about 400 miles) and had no problems. driving from the gf's house to home, i felt like seeing how the vtec was, so i was going up hill and floored it. next think i know, the cars shut off, gas pedal not responding, coasting down hill, brakes go stiff so i gotta use ebrake, and when i finally get stopped, i pop the hood and check oil... nothing. so i walked 5 miles and bought all the oil i'd need, put in in, looked for leaks, started it, looked for leaks.... nothing. car now seems to run fine... execpt when i go into "vtec" it sounds like rattling kind of? any idea wtf is up?
