extended lugs or non extended lugs for rota grids? clean or tacky?

I want a flush look. I have rota grids as shown below...

I feel like extended lugs poke too far out because the rota grids aren't deep dished in the center. So I figured on going with non extended lugs.

Whats everyones thoughts on extended lugs on flat surfaced rims? clean or tacky?

how so? besides the fact that extended lugs offer better grip for easier install/removal.

Most extended length wheel studs are stronger than OEM ones, especially if you go with hardware from ARP. Their studs are manufactured from 8740 chromoly steel, are cadmium plated, and have a tensile strength of 200,000 psi. Studs like these can easily handle the way more abuse than standard OEM ones. Oh, ARP extended wheel studs look nice too.

thanks! I was looking into BLOX extended lugs cause i've heard mixed reviews on Muteki. I also looked into Gorilla lug nuts but they don't offer open ended lugs. I hate the look of closed lugs......which swayed in my thoughts of going with extended rather than non extended. LOOKS FTW AGAIN....... /SIGH

what size lug nut should I look for? 12x1.5??

red or neon blue/purplish? I kinda feel like black body, sports bronze rims with either of these color lugs would be nice. I want a color to POP or "accent" the wheels.

Always dug purple in engine bays and lcas so i can't see how you could go wrong with purple lugs.

I had a set of bronze that looked nice. Don't know if I'm brave enough to venture into bright primary colors though . On those wheels, I'd go with black.

Like it was mentioned, ARP hardware is stronger than stock. Plus it looks cool IMO . Just as long as you don't go with a high offset wheel. Then they studs would probably poke out too far and look goofy. I'd go with extended studs and open ended lug nuts.

yeah, i have a high offset wheel. grids are about +40mm. so they will be poking out a bit but w/e.....lmao

I would go with whatever holds the wheel in place safely. If both do the trick then really its up to you and how you want your car to look like.
