Yep. I'm new to the sight obviously. I own an EF sedan. Black, 283K, 5spd. I got it around the end of may and about a week after I got it we decided to go on a road trip..about 36 miles out of town it broke down. Lost a piston. Well after a month and a half of no car we bought a motor. Long story short we painted it silver...someone got mad and now it's blue...anyways the new motor is going in tomorrow after a quick trip to Pull-A-Part. D16Z6. VTEC. I'm really excited and very curious to see how she drives.

Welcome! Wow someone really decided to just bathe that thing in blue paint huh? Anyway a z6 in an EF should be a lot nicer to drive so have fun with it.

You gonna rig it up half-assed with the dizzy barely attached or are you gonna do the obd1 conversion harness? I'm gonna be doing the same thing to my hatch, curious to see it.

The D16z6 is what's goin in it. The D15B2 might be sold, I may rebuild it and build a mini-me...but the head recently rebuilt. And we have a tourque mount we're going to have welded on. Should be done by Friday.

Also, the story behind that is, The day we finished tweeking on the motor, cleaning it, and painting it, one of my boyfriend's buddy's had his feet up on it while it was on the motor stand, now, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if this guy didn't weigh nearly 400lbs, well I asked him nicely to remove his feet. And he did it while arguing with me. Well, in response I said," It might not hurt the motor, but out of respect for others' property." Now this pissed him off pretty bad. I thought he was over it. Well we went home and about 3 hours later got a message with the picture of the motor, and one that said "Bill you need to come clean this motor." Ever since it's been blue and noone has yet to own up for it. But C'est La Vie right?

Bummer...sour sport then, eh? I might hit my block up black since its the only color i got in stock with my sprayer kit. Can't wait till you get this thing running. Working on a couple of z6s as well. Oh, welcome!

I completely forgot to add that its about as slammed as slammed can get...it hurts getting in and out. lol
