blew my motor the other day, pulled it yesterday waiting to get payed on friday and buying new motor, this dude i know has a z6 engine, ex b0000 trans, engine harness, p28 ecu, complete engine basically, i just wanna know if my in dash ecu harness need to be vtec to work or can i just keep that stock interior harness ? oh and he wants 800 for all this is it worth it? it has 120k on it . says he just had a new crankshaft put in it and had receipts. but why the f*** would it need a new crank shaft it aint like they break right ? and if it did break it would have most likely ruined the bottom end right ? and possibly bent the valves also? i am kinda worried about buying it!! he says it fresh hes also some punk kid who claims to know every thing lmk on thoughts thanks

Dont spend 800 bucks on a single cam. Save up another couple hundred bucks and go buy a JDM B20 or B18B. You can pick those complete swaps up for around 1300 bucks and they are low mileage and come with a warranty. Go b series you'll be a lot happier.

I really have no choice right now though I'm on a tight buget and need a car quick already missed a day of work today. I could go buy another b7 block and have the same old car or drop in the vtec and have my car back by saturday if I don't have a car means no work and no work means no b sieries later on so I'm honest stuck with single cam for right now. Trust me I'd love to have the doe to swap a b1 in to it but were I'm at I can't find s**t for a good price I used to live in philidelphia and had a. Whole swap for my ef for 750 but I moved to tennesee and no one really f**** with hondas all big trucks and s**t. Later on Ill be able to afford it but not right now

Overkill the guy with questions. Ask about doing a compression test, popping off the head and look for any weird signs of wear and tear, ask to turn over the motor: and if he says no to any and all of the above then walk away. You get the general idea.
