dx/ex exhaust difference?

The difference between the two exhausts is length and cat. placement. If I am doing a cat back exhaust then this wont really matter will it? and Im going to get header and high flow cat with an o2 extension anyway. Not sure if this will cause any problems, what do you guys think? also do any of you have an srs catback, pics/thoughts?

If you are going to do a header, high-flow cat and cat-back exhaust then yes, you can use an EX system on a DX. It won't fit without all the pieces though so you need to do it all at once.

ok thanks, and with all of the pieces do I still need to buy a peice of piping in order to lengthen the exhaust?

No you don't. The extra piece is to fill the gap between an EX exhaust and DX exhaust manifold/cat. When you have an EX header and cat everything fits right together. The DX manifold doesn't reach as far because the cat is built into it where as the EX is 2 separate pieces and goes further back.
