Gentlemen:, I would like to ask your opinions,
99' D16Y7 (135k), stock, or was until I replaced the Head Gasket.followed
the torque specs and patterns, I used to work for Hyster Lift trucks.
Had it surfaced ,pressure checked, valves, seals etc. by a good shop.
Turned it loose to my wife to drive, 118 miles later I checked the oil tonight
and none showing on the stick, opened the drain plug, none comes out.Have not done
a compression test yet,(lent it to my friend) but the plugs look great.
Looked at the filler cap and down in at the cam, and it's brown sludge.
The car has not over heated, does not blow out white smoke. But I know it's classic
head gasket stuff. Except I have never seen brown oil sludge, and it has never disappeared.
I have seen Lots of mayonnaise colored oil, and the level does usually go up.
I guess what I am asking is has anybody else seen this? Where did the oil go?
Did it just emulsify and turn into sludge hanging on the engines components?
and what are your thoughts on using copper coat on a felpro steel shim gasket.
Oh and last but not least, deck tolerances on the block, Warpage.
When I tear this apart again I need to know what went wrong.
Thanks in advance, I know it's late and I may not be able to reply tonight,
