civic definitely but if you can get hands on a rare rx7 go for it... 240sx are too common seems like everyone has those and are unsuccessful on getting it fulley built...

240 is easy to work on, I had one, it's really not much different than a civic ...

a rotary motor is a whole new ballgame

Difficulty is measured by experience and exposure. If you're used to working on Honda cars, you're comfortable with that. From my understanding, 240's main concerns are body work (drifters crashing) or interior parts. I myself am willing to pick up a 240 to try out RWD when available but I already have 2 vehicles under my belt and tight wallet and i'm only 17.

If you're self-diagnosing the Rx7 or 240, it may be difficult depending on you, but i'd got to say Civic's are the more problematic and compact of the 3. Keep in mind the Rx7 are rotary, so that's a different engine setup, i'm not sure how that differs in terms of difficulty but just read up on it online.

Whichever it is they're 80-90's cars, wider aftermarket support of course, many trial and error stories to learn from and not as difficult as new cars. Try checking out a 240 forum like Zilivia or Nissan 240sx forum, idk about Rx7 forums though.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo's/Subaru Impreza WRX (STI's) now that's a different land to venture, my bro's STI is so confusing and we're not even done putting the engine together.

It's been my experience as a former Rx7 owner and part of a rotary club... Everyone wants one, nobody wants to own one when they finally have it. As far as "easy", that's going to be different for everyone. If you know nothing about cars/motors, then really it doesn't matter. You'll learn it and then it will become easier for you to work on. But I gotta tell you, the 7 is by far cooler to look at but please for the love of baby Jesus stay away. Money pit of all money pits. With the money I spent on that damn thing... Well... I'd have lots of money.

rx7 is not a dependable car. i dated a girl that had one, i worked on that car more than i f**ked her.

I own a s13 and a civic. The 240 for ne is easy cause i know almost everything about them. My civic is somewhat easier cause parts being cheaper and interchangable between othe civics, tegs, sols etc. i would love to have a nice fc one day but anyone i ever talked to say if you stick with the rotory they are trash unless your pockets are deep. Your choice man. Buy what makes you happy

ok im trying right now to trade my crotch rocket for a 96 hatch, already sold my truck so i have money in my pocket, so trying to find something mainly a hatch and i had 2 in reach but on the net, they both were put on there the sametime, and not even 2 hours of them being put on they were already sold.... so im looking for a crx or a hatch, was able to find the crx for 500 bucks, but it needed a new hood, passenger fender, front bumper and a headlight
