You have a very good point! All parties represnted in roma red hatches. And none of ours are finished lol

I'm kinda wanting to buy a used D and tear it down and build it back up for some expeirience.
None are finished, but they will all be great once they are.

I wish I had the money to rebuild my own engine haha

Got some new stuff recently...

iPhone case

New daily

Ain't got nothing on my JDM road bike haha. I ordered some new tires, inner tubes, and handlebar tape. I need to get a new seat, because that thing is hideous. I'll probably end up getting a speedometer and a few other things for it, but mainly just keep it clean.

Firewall plugs

I'm going to redo the harness when I have the engine out and make it enter right below the heater hoses, hence these plugs. One for the driver's side by the CMC and the other two larger ones are for the harness itself and the fuse box.

I also got my 62a inserts for the Hasport mounts. I started to install them and polish the mounts.

It might be hard to tell because of the bad picture, but it is so much shinier. I love it. I started on the next one too.

More to come...

Well I moved into college today. Here is a shot of my house for the next year.

I spent the majority of yesterday doing some work on my car since I won't be able to until Thanksgiving break.

Pulled the motor out ghetto-style...

Thought this shot was cool, its kinda bad though.

There she sits in the driveway

I started to clean up the bay a little bit. I washed and waxed the subframe. These two holes lined up perfectly for the Evap purge solenoid.

Before this, it was just suspended in under the intake manifold by its vacuum lines.

Box of stuff to get powder coated.

The head...

The surface the battery sits on was starting to rust so I painted it real quick. I think it turned out decent.

The garage right before I left. Man I will miss this...

Packed up a little keepsake to take to college with me.

That's about it for now. I'm 5 hours from home. My first break isn't until Thanksgiving. I plan to tear down the engine, make a list of parts, and work on the bay some over my week off. Then on Christmas break, I will have the block sent to the machine shop and begin reassembly. I also need to redo my harness sometime in there...

Yeah an inline fuel filter is on my list of things to do haha just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm in Carlisle so I don't know how far that is from you. If I have the parts, I could definitely use a hand with reassembly. I've never done anything like that before. If I'm not ready by Christmas break, I'll definitely be ready by spring break.

im outside reading so you are only like 40 minutes, im definitely down to come out and help

putting an engine together is easy, its all the block measurements that blow but you will have a machine shop doing that. rest is just plasti gauging your clearances. just let me know, ill come out

honda engines are easy, hell of a lot easier than the vq35 im rebuilding out of a infinity g coupe

Well its been awhile...

I realized I had some money in my PayPal account and decided to buy a few things to feed my addiction.

I also joined my school's racing team. I don't know if you guys are familiar with Formula SAE or not, but it is basically a formula style racing competition between colleges where each school designs and builds their own car based on a set of regulations.

Here is my schools promo video featuring last year's car.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_clsbkk0ptI

This year's design is an iteration on the design featured in the video. We will be incorporating side pods and an aero package.

Some basic info on the car:
-450CC single cylinder Yamaha engine
-5-speed sequential gearbox controlled by pneumatic paddle-shifters
-Motec ECU
-steel-tube chasis with carbon fiber body panels (a carbon monocoque is allowed per the regs, but we don't have an autoclave...)
-yearly budget ~$60,000 all raised by students

My first lesson this weekend was how to make a mold then lay up carbon fiber. The head of the aero team was doing some development on the aero package and allowed me to help him with the process.

So far I'm stoked. This is going to be awesome.

Other than that, I've just been overwhelmed with homework.
