Was wanting J-speeds for my EM1 and i saw your video on youtube. Ive been reading for a bit but i didnt see anything about rolled fenders. Did you have to roll your fenders? would you recommend going with the -38 offset wheels in 15x7? or keeping the 15x8 with the -25 offset.

I love the stance

Sorry for the question. Your hatch is beautiful and a big inspiration for my own civic. Cant wait to see more.

questions are all good. lets see, I did have to roll my fenders, it's way back in my thread from when I installed my coilovers. I really like the extra width of the 8" wheel but you will need to roll your fenders period. no way around that except stock height. So go with the 15x7 if you don't want to roll your fenders. Rolling the fenders isn't that extreme if you stretch a tire on the 15x8's, but I don't personally like stretching tires beyond their specs. My 205's are slightly stretched and I needed a bit more of a roll than people with 195/50 and 195/45 tires.

the wider wheel and tire also keeps the natural camber from being really extreme

Did you roll the fronts as well? i know how to do the rear but the front has always bothered me because of the fender liner and the metal pieces with the holes in them for the plastic clips that hold up the fender liner up.

yeah I did the fronts too. I did it the easy way and just removed my fender liners. Some people trim the liner and roll the edge but I'm too lazy for all that.

Just my 2 cents...
Trimming the inner fenders and putting them back in keeps the dirt, mud, and grime off the body of the car. It seeps through the fender and the door. Also keeps water off the turn signal. And if your tire picks up bigger rocks and flings em out at your fender it prevents dents. Lol.. But a lot of people do either or.. Also depends on a daily or once a wk/month (more of a show) car.

Really? Lol I've seen a couple civics around here that take out the inner fender and there's mud on the door from the gap between the fender and door. It made me think twice about mine.

boy i did! thats why i am so hesitant about it, but i love the fitment and will try the trimming of the edge technique. i live in the foothills of the appalachians. when it rains, EVERYthing went straight into my door hindges and jams. very messy. i had to pull a used set of the ex i got my cluster out of.
