ok i went to a junkyard yesterday while searching for swaps and parts i would need for my civic. while there i found a 1995 acura integra with a b18b1(auto)still in it i asked them how much would they charge for just the block without the trans, harness, ecu ect. and they said around 200 bucks so ive decided im going to come back at a later time to buy it now my question is.

if i took the entire block apart would it be the same block bare as a 1996+ b18b1?

im asking this because i was planning on buying it bringing it home and building it from the ground up.

Yea it should be the same. Blocks don't make the difference unless their block name is different (A1,C1,C5).
The OBD1 will have different plugs for fuel injectors, distributor, alternator, end plug, and o2 sensors than the OBD2.
But the block internals should be all the same. PR4.

If you wanted to stay obd2 yeah you would need to buy stuff for a 96+ integra. But depending on where you're taking your build you may want to stay obd1. But if you go obd2 I do have a brand new dizzy i am selling as well as a timing belt and samco hoses for that motor!
