Integra shifter

I was reading another thread and the suggested thing was to add a integra shifter and weighted shift knob to a 97 ex vtec. So that sounds good for me too so which yr shifter would I need and knob also what is a weighted knob for or help do. Im going to check eBay for these items, should I get stock shifter or integra short shifter also the weighted knob should it be factory or aftermarket thanks for ne help

Any shifter meant for a 88-00 Civic or 90-01 Integra will be a direct bolt on. There are literally hundreds of options available. Look around and see what you can find. Same goes for shift knobs. Here are some in the store on this site.

With a slight modification I was able to use a gsr dual bend shifter in my 5th gen.

Not exactly. The Integra shifters will fit but the base at the bottom where it bolts into the linkage is about twice as wide on an Integra. You can cut it make it fit and it's really not that difficult but it's not like its a direct swap. If you search, you can find comparison photos. I don't think it should be a deterrent, just nice to know going into it so you don't get it and think wtf.

Ah good point. I've got an Integra linkage on my Civic so I was unaware. :thumbs up

yeah i have a gsr shifter in my ek. it took some bracket bending, or you could cut the shifter down a little bit. but they're not the same at all.

Yea I just cut mine and swapped all the bushings over. I got my gsr sister for free. This dude wanted a straight shifter I wanted a dual bend. We traded

i got an entire gsr linkage, bushings and shifter included, for free from a jdm addict im stationed with. he's in my company. he came over one day and was like "hey dude, want a shifter and linkage?" lol and for the record...not sure what a gsr sister is....
