Well i went out in the garage today with aspirations of getting a lot done. It was super hot, but once i got out there i was disgusted.
My garage needed some attention so i decided to clean it before i started working on the truck...
So after about five hours of cleaning i finally got busy...
I decided i was going to finish something on this truck for once. So i got busy on the mount for my AEM coils.
Here it is all drilled up. Just gotta figure out where imma mount it and how.
Decided to cut out some tabs and weld them on.
Lined up and square.
Welded up.
I really wanted to hide everything since the bay is gonna be totally shaved, but on the other hand i want to show off my big money parts. So i decided to mount these here just for that reason...
Installing coils...
And the finished product.
Im at the point where everything i do is taking me forever. This bracket took like three hours. I just dont have the right tools. But i make do.
I got everything i need to finally order my last big purchase. Just waiting for a call back from the guy so i can throw a thousand plus dollars at him lol.
Then i will be pulling the motor to fully weld everything and clean up the frame and send it off for powdercoat!
So close but still so damn far away...

id like to talk to you about how you tubbed your wheel wells and some random things. im trying to do things differently and it involves welding, which im not to knowledgeable

ok, well that works. ill be honest, i was to lazy to dig through it again and end up not finding it
Not a problem.
I dont have the pics on this phone, but i have them on my pc. But i can easily walk u through it. Its simple. And anyone can weld. Just make sure everything is clean and ground to bare metal.
I have been using straight ether on all of my metal and wire brushing it really well before i weld anything and it has helped a lot!

I like the extended cab tacos, but i love the single cab ones best.
Theyre easy to find, but theyre expensive!

i want to but im not sure if it will be sturdy enough, seems like i should stitch weld it to reduce distortion. i always want it to be strong though so im doing my research
im also trying to figure out how to raise my engine

lol we would do some crazy stuff, i have so many ideas and i just need to figure out how to do them.
