Was your car clear coated when it was painted? Why is there hardly any reflection? It almost looks rattle can white.
It was.

looks good!
how was the meet overall?
It was pretty gay. Awards were a popularity contest as usual. But just going there with my buddies was fun and having a good time. I was going just to go then my "team leader" if you will, told me I was registering it. I'm not a fan of registering my car into shows.

Yeah I'm into the whole. At show scene much anymore because its insane falling in the same category as the EK owners up here like Toto, Steve, and Yee. Or when they put Hondas and Acuras together then you have to worry about all the NSX guys.

I know, right? I never come out anymore. People are always giving me s**t about not coming out to meets anymore. I just get annoyed with people too much. I'll most DEFINITELY be coming to the toy drive this year though. I missed out last year :( And I'll be boosted and have some interior by then ;)

Back on topic, I'm mostly decided on getting a Tial 38mm wastegate. I was going to go 44 (which I think is a little overkill) and then I was going to go 40 mm, but they are discontinued! So 38mm will be just fine. Now I'm looking at a downpipe. Any suggestions? I'll be running a 3 inch downpipe. And I'm thiiiiiiinking about getting a new BOV. But I don't necessarily need one. The one it comes with is fine, it's just super quiet. My inner ricer wants to hear the wha-psh.

3 inch downpipe to 3 inch exhaust, get rid of your cat, straight pipe it. The faster you can get the exhaust out of the car, the better. Also, I'd recommend doing a closed loop dump tube. Have it welded into your downpipe. It makes your wastegate a bit quieter (your turbo won't spool as loud when you get on it, great for a sleeper/avoiding unwanted police attention :D), and considering you have a white car, it will keep your bay SUPER clean. Also, thermal wrap your charge piping since you live in a colder climate. Depending on material, you may want to consider thermal wrapping your manifold. That's subjective, though.

Don't worry about psi quite yet, worry about the size of your turbo, size of charge piping and exhaust piping, intercooler, injector size, and then worry about psi rating when you go for a tune (PLEASE f***ING TUNE <3).

As far as BOV, I ran an open ventilation BOV. I had a TiaL 38mm Wastegate and TiaL BOV. Worked well, but it sounded.. weird.. ran an HKS BOV, sounded too ricey (think Fast And Furious.. ugh..). I ended up with the Blitz SSQV (ironic. Riciest BOV EVER) with a smaller insert. Quieted the noise down, but I do really like the ricer PSHH sound too haha.

I'll be running a 3 inch downpipe, and my 2.5 inch from there. It'll give me a little back-pressure but I ill be pushing low boost so I don't think it'll be too big of a deal. I'll be researching different downpipes and such. I'm trying to stay as sleeper as possible. And I'll be running 450 cc injectors and that Walboro pump. As far as tuning, I wasn't planning to, why would I need to?

THAT'S A JOKE. Of course I will be. I will be bolting the kit on and driving it STRAIGHT to RichTuned. (in his new shop!!) I'm so scared for that drive down there. I will stay completely out of boost. It's like a 30 minute drive from where I'm putting the turbo on... so not too bad but still scary.
I was also thinking of a Greddy Type S BOV. Super played around here but whatevs.

Atta girl. Back pressure and boost are not friends. Keep that in mind. If tuned right, 2.5 will be fine, but in the future, if you plan to increase boost, go bigger. Your snail will reduce noise quite a bit (I ran straight pipe, no resonator, with a stock looking Magnaflow muffler and my car sounded stock!). Those 450ccs should be perfect. And yay for the Walboro. 255lph? In tank or external?

You should be fine driving over there. Don't redline/boost full over and over and nothing will happen. You'll be alright!

Definitely. If I were to go more boost I would definitely go 3 inch. I'll be putting that ES Tuning muffler on my Buddy Club so I HOPE it'll sound really good. And yes 255 for the Walboro. And whats the benefit of in-tank versus external? And I thought it only came in one style...

It probably doesn't. And I'm not loaded enough to run Hondata just yet  I will be running an oil pressure and air/fuel gauge most likely with my boost gauge however. I would just feel more comfortable with them.
