Idle Problem

Okay so most of the time when this happens my AC is on, my rpm arm hovers up and down and some times when I let off the clutch is dies easier

And when I come to a complete stop and put it in neutral the rpm stays reved but low some times.

I just recently got my serpentine belts tightened but now when my fan kicks on something rattles bad...I don't know if that can be the problem?

Can anyone help trouble shoot?

Honda's don't have a "serpentine" belt (one belt driving multiple things) since each accessory has it's own belt to drive it. Where is the rattle coming from?

How does your car drive with the A/C off? Does the car idle normally in neutral at a stop with the A/C off? Let your car warm up (radiator can kicks on at least twice) with all accessories off and see what your car is idling at. I think a Haynes says it should be around 650 +/- 50 or so but I'd have to double check.

check the iacv, and your throttle position sensor.. both should be right next to eachother unless you have the y7 engine

No, it shouldn't be that high. You CAN set it to idle that high but speaking from previous experience, setting your idle too high could cause a P0505 (idle malfunction) CEL to come on. At least that's what happened with me.

From most cars I've been in, I've seen them all idle between 500 and 700.

With the ac off it doesn't fluctuate, but it does happen rarely when the ac is off

When the ac is on the rpm needle moves up and down, up to 1k-1.5 then down

And it fluctuates back and forthp

And the noise happens when the ac is on.....and the fan kicks on.....it sounds like its coming from
The ac or somewhere up in front
