Racing Tip

I have a 2000 Civic SI with an AEM V2 intake, DC 4-2-1 Headers, and a Greddy SE full exhaust. I need some racing tips, I went to some races in my scene and an LS DA Integra beat me by half a car length. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I should start my launches at and how to avoid wheel spin at the higher RPM launches? Also someone told me that I should power shift but I've heard so many things about how it will kill your tranny but others have said you'll be so much faster.

get better tires.

and dont powershift, instead invest in a ecu that provides no lift shift like a WOT box or s300

step 1. Go to a track, and make a ton of passes. That's how you get better and faster. Step 2. modify your car with better performance mods, and repeat step 1.

dude, drive up to lvms for midnight mayhem and learn to drive your car there. invest in some track time, it's the only way to get better, or risk metro impounding your s**t.

dont granny shift or else dom would give u the talk about not double clutching like you should and that if you used nos you wouldve blew the welds on that v2 intake and if you did that they wouldve had to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you wouldve fried..then if you wouldve asked any real racer,, it wouldnt matter if he won by an inch or a mile, and that winning is winning.... =)
