So recently my driver's side front brakes have been making noise just mainly when I back up but now even when in drive but not for long I haven't had the time to pull apart but it sound more like a deep whistle than anything also when I tap the brakes either reverse or drive ( its a manual) it may stop for a bit but goes back to noise no more than few mins while driving then goes away. I don't think its the pads so what else could it be please ask if ya need more 411 and thinks for the advice

You won't know unless you check it. take off the wheel and look at the rotor for any warpage or if something's wrong with the caliper and pads.

There is absolutely nothing we can do. YOU are going to have to take it apart and see what it going on. I am guessing it is time for new pads and possibly rotors.

Shave rotors if you can (will need to be checked with micrometer) so you don't shave your wallet forking out cash for new ones. Check a shop and what's their price. Drilled/slotted rotors aren't good for a daily, stay with regular discs. Inspect though.... if you need more help post pics

I always replace the rotors when I do pads when they are as cheap as they are for civics. Why not? What are you saving? $20?

I have been running slotted rotors for years on a daily with absolutely NO problems. Not saying that everyone will have the same experience. Just throwing it out there.
