Ok so heres my dilema. i have a pretty sizable gap between the bottom of my hood and my grille/headlight area. and normally id be like hmm, ok lemme lower the hood latch a smidgen. well that isn't possible, cause the latch is all the way down. so my question is, is there any other way to get the hood to flush up with the grille and headlights? i've seen it on almost every other friggin ek, except mine.

Is it just the grille that it doesn't align with, or are the headlights and bumper cover off, too?

If it's just the grille, is the grille eBay/aftermarket? They usually have poor fitment. That could be your issue.

its the headlights and bumper cover too. im thinking maybe its an aftermarket hood and the latch bar is a bit too long. which sucks... would i be able to hammer the little bar in a little bit to snug it down?
im talking about the little bar on the underside of the hood, not the latch on the radiator support btw

check to see if the hood as a vin number on it anywhere..take the grille off and see if the hood closes better without it..
you can't get the thing on the hood because you can damage the hood

even when the factory grille was on it it was the same way. so that counts the grille out. i only put that on like 2 weeks ago, and had the factory one on for a month or two before that.

is your car lowered at all? if so how does the underside look up front? my hood fits exactly the same and i have a oem hood brand new front oem bumper from honda dealer online and a modified stock grill.my car was slammed when i bought it and i noticed my radiator core support is pushed up so i figure that that last idiot that owned my car drove over curbs and parking blocks, anyways i think its pushing the core support up not allowing the hood to come down as much as it should

I'd guess that it was pushed down, not up.
im pretty sure when you drive over a curb or parking block it doesnt push down on your front end...... anyways the hood latch is attached to your core support and if the core support goes up so does the latch witch in return doesnt allow the hood to close all the way

edit: are you sure they didnt return it to stock before selling it?

as far as im tracking its been stock its entire lifetime. no signs of ANYTHING. no scrapes under the bumper, on the front little notch under the radiator. nothing. everything looked COMPLETELY brand new..
