Wow.. I would have never thought that this would happen to your build. I'm sorry to hear that man. When I read it my heart dropped and I'm pretty sure my jaw was dropped the whole time I read the 2-3 pages Glad to hear that you're ok tho.

Been lurking your build for a while. It really sucks what happened, but I'm sure whatever you end up doing will be awesome!

Sorry to hear about the car man. Chick drivers .

I have a question for you though: how much did your Works Bell quick release setup run you? is it worth getting them other than NRG?

Excuse my french but F*ck yea, worksbell all day! The bearings are 3x's as stout and never gives of alot of pre existent free play as NRG does! Youtube worksbell and read results on NRG's quick release, VERY BIG DIFFERENCE! ;)

Mine doesnt either and Ive owned it for two years, but statistics and quality dont lie...to be honest when I get the chance it will be replaced with worksbell cause the quick release is so much smoother then the NRG setup! Worksbell is actually the originator of the quick release "Ball Lock" device, NRG and etc. just falls in place not saying that anything is wrong with them cause my NRG feels great but after being in a car with a worksbell quick release you feel a difference in the slop. Thats why Worksbell holds the patent to the mechanism ;)

I think it was like 300 or something. Ill say this, if you never touch a works bell setup and you go with NRG you'll think it's great and could possibly never run into problems with slop. If you tested them out side by side, you'd easily see the difference between the two.

it's kinda like real wheels versus replicas. replicas work but they just aren't the real deal and are of less quality (the difference in quality is what varies)

Jeez man, haven't checked your thread in a bit and now came back to see what happened, this is terrible! Hopefully things work out in the end and you end up with an even cleaner car (even though this was about as mint as they come these days)

Keep your head up man! We all know you're the king of clean rides and something will turn up soon enough one way or another!

Meh I've had my 2.5 NRG for a while now no problems at all.

That's what I've heard. Plus I guess now that more and more people are buying NRG quick releases and more adaptable steering wheels, the probability of someone else having a NRG compatible steering wheel is that much greater.

the bigger problem is the nrg locks. They only have a couple of different keys for them. So the security aspect is going out the window for nrg. works bell has a different key design and more variations of keys
