cold air intake not working?

hi, i own a 1996 honda civic lx and it has a Spectre cold air intake in it but im not sure if its working or not because theres not any hose connected to it. its only connected to the intake manifold thats it. Im not sure if a hose is supposed to be connected or not? I belive its the o2 sensor? I dont know but I need help.

Do u have a check engine light?

Thats all a cold air intake is. It just gets rid if all the small tubing and junk from the factory...

it flashes when I start the car then stops is that normal?

O2 sensor is on the exhaust. MAF sensor is on the intake side.

If there are unused hole on the intake u can run a vacuum line to them and plug them off or just put a vacuum nipple on them but its not hurting either way if ur not getting a CEL.

R3dline I just bought this car and im wondering if it was working or not I realized I was a dumbass already because the intake didnt come with any hoses it was just a straight up clamp on to intake manifold and filter.

alright thanks I think I realized that you only hear the intake at high rpms because I just tested it and I went over 4,500 and I started to hear it.

if its on there, its working, there is nothing to not work. its a tube, and a filter. thats it.

I owned a Toyota Supra and intakes on that were different.Installing an intake on that was not as easy especially with a crammed engine bay.
