I Hav a 92 civic EX 1.6L SOHC vtec. I've been thinkin about doin a motor swap I Hav two option unless I can find 1 before too long 1st motor swap is a B18B1 non vtec dohc out of a Integra the second 1 is a h23A1 out of a prelude Si 2.3L dohc non vtec  also thought if I go this route I could eventually find a H22 head and swap the head out and maybe put a turbo on it if I'm not happy latter just wanted to know wat your guys input would be  might do some digging might do a b20b with a head if I can find 1 cheapish :D

if thinking turbo down the road, I'd suggest the B. The H fits into our bay, but likely won't have any room later for a turbo manifold.

Wat I was wonderin is even though it's a non vtec motor will it still get out and move verses the d16Z6 SOHC Eather way this motor has to come out high milled and smoke in bad when I first start it up in the mornin and when I high the higher RPM's

It really depends on your power goals. If you're looking for a peppy reliable motor with out dropping a bunch of money its a great choice. Worst case scenario you get bored and want more power. You can do ls vtec and or a turbo.

Is this your first motor swap? If it is, a B18 swap is a great place to start and can be a lot of fun. It's easier to retain power steering and a/c with a B-swap.

It's not my first but vech for myself lol did civic dx hatch with a gsr turbo that thing was wild lol
As for the b18b1 when I do get a turbo for it watts the most you'd do for boost and how much horsepower you think I'll make and last but not least will havta get ECM reflashed or get standalone sys.
