Lht intercooler and water/meth injection on JRSC B16A2

Looking to install LHT intercooler due to the lower IAT's. Then water meth nnot only for additional cooling thus allowing for a more aggressive tune, but also because the meth will increase my effective octane to over 100 even though I'm only running 93 octane fuel. Is this correct? I believe my SC is only boosting 5-7 psi right now, picking up and installing a boost gauge this weekend, and stock compression is 10.2:1. Would this boost my power much? If so, how much? And please don't respond with "just go turbo". I'm looking into keeping the sc or turbo and weighing options. Thanks in advance.

right now you dont need any of this at that psi, its around 10psi that the IAT temps become an issue

Agreed. 15+PSI and you may consider this venture. Until then, pulley upgrades and a tune are where it's at! :thumbs up

I do want to upgrade my pulley to increase my psi, but won't the cooler air alone increase hp? And I would definately tune immediately following.

It will, but not by a substantial amount. You'll see much more after increasing boost, and a new pulley. But then comes internals etc.

Just to verify, by new pulley you mean SC pulley right? That will increase my psi and I was looking at the 10-12psi pulley. Or are you referring to underdrive pulley?

yes a bigger supercharger pulley, i was looking into running a supercharger on my car and everything i had read led to saying that around 10psi on a jrsc it started to work hard enough to make to high of IAT's. Which leads to horrible performance, and then everything recommended the LHT and a front mount, also water/meth.

you could do this now but i recommend a bigger pulley while its out

You can't really guess. For all we know you could be running 10:1 as is that could cost you hp. If the goal is 300whp or more you are just wasting your time and money with a supercharger.

Well, my cars stock compression is 10.2:1. I'm thinking around 225-250 hp with my supercharger. Not looking to delve into this engine with new internals.
