I wouldn't recommend trying to do anything with your phone until you read, read, and read some more. Youtube videos also help a lot as well as you'll have a visual of what's going on when trying to root, recover, and flash your phone.

No it wont... it just depends on what ROM you decide to flash your phone with. Usually each type of phone have different developers, so there will be different types of ROMs and themes to go along with it. If you go on that site and look for your phone section, there will be a thread for development and there should be other threads in there showing you what ROMs are available for download... they have screenshots of what they look like too!

I have an EVO4G but flashed my phone with a MIUI ROM, which the user interface comes from the Nexus phones. The layout as looks/feels like a cross between iPhone and Android devices.
