Will Brian crower stage 2 cams give power if I put in my ctr motor. Without replacing valves springs or retainer.. And will it be safe wit ctr stock valve train if not rev over 8,800rpm.

You should be safe. First thing I would replace would be the springs because the ctr/itr spring don't compress as far as aftermarket. What did you do with your ctr cams?

My first thought as well.

OP any time you rev higher than stock, and with aftermarket cams, you need better valve springs to prevent valve floating at high rpms.

Although its a ctr motor. It's stock with dual springs and lightened valves. I'm curious on how your idle will be.

Would wiseco piston cr 10:9.1 be enough compression for the skunk 2 stage 2 cams .. Gonna pick those up for the b20 build

personally i wouldnt go over stage 1 without building the valvetrain, but that may just be me.

im not sure in the specs of that valvetrain so it may be fine on a stage 2 cam, but who much more aggresive is the crower cams versus the stock ones?

^ thank you
they dont really care what motor it is our how it comes from the factory stage 2 and up valvetrain needs to be upgraded.
theres a reason that legit cam companys tell you it has to be done.

They are just covering their asses. Like I said the one thing I would be concerned about would be the springs. They are dual valve springs but they don't compress as far as aftermarket.

i still woudlt take the chance. id rather be sure my valvetrain was good and not have to think about trying to keep it under some certain rpm.
And like i said does anybody know how much more aggresive the crower stage 2 are from whats in there now.
Also stages differ from company to company crower's stage 2 is different than another companies stage 2
