Ill say it again...

Retrofits look terrible.
I love any headlight with projectors (stock, not ricey eBay/aftermarket headlights). Looks more....not "modern" but you know what I mean. Plus I'll take my HID's over halogen any day of the week.

+1. The functionality is awesome, the look.. is weird..I don't like it much on Civics. BMWs, G37s etc. look great, on the other hand.

New technology in old designs usually look weird. Grandparents with i phones, on star in a caprice classic lol.

Looking into getting the downpipe made soon.

For a custom made downpipe?
I guess it all depends on whether you provide the flange, and curvature/angle etc. Mine was pretty much straight down, mandrel bent, 3" piping and I provided the flange. The shop charged me $55 installed.

He's going to be doing all the measuring and bending and I guess it'll depend on if he has the flange or not.

Ah gotcha. I had a simple downpipe I needed. I cut the flange off my old DP, cleaned up it, bought a flex pipe, and brought it to an exhaust shop with a mandrel bender. Told them what I wanted, it took em like 10 minutes to get everything bent and welded/bolted on.

Yeah see I'm being wayyy pickier. He makes his own exhaust manifolds and does an amazing job. I'm having him make this so I can (hopefully) be as low as I am with a 3 inch downpipe.

That was my issue: my DC2 was slammed like a motherfucker, so I had clearance issues. I ended up going with 16" wheels and going up a little bit with suspension to put me up the half inch I needed to clear without scraping my DP on everything. Even then, I had to be REALLY careful. A 3" DP is pretty big. If he's good, he could get really creative and route it to the side rather than straight down.

I have a feeling he might do that. He doesn't want me to raise my car up

my charge piping was about 2 inches off the ground because of how low my turbo sat :P

my downpipe was about $250 from Stefan with him supplying everything, how much he (the guy doing yours)doing yours for again Alex? 3 inches IS pretty big but i guess it depends on your exhaust size too..as long as its not 3 inch downpipe to a 2.5 exhaust it shouldn't hurt you

My exhaust is 2.5.. why is that bad? And he quoted me about $175-ish
