1998 Civic EX

Ive seen the people on here help out a lot of others on here, hoping you will be able to help me out.

I bought the civic as is from a dealership, it started just fine, but i got about a mile down, filled the gas tank, and left no problem. got about 500 ft and the car stalled after i stopped at a light. i got it to start and pulled away, then it stalled at every set of lights until i gave up and pulled into a parking lot.

I had it towed home, and put the computer on it to see what it told me, i got P0107 for the MAP sensor and P0113 for the IAT sensor.

I changed the fuel filter, and the broken brake lines, as well as the intake manifold gasket.

I have also noticed the Cold air intake is loose, not sure if that could cause the problem.

Now the car starts and will run just fine until it gets warmed up then it will shut off.

Any ideas on what it would be?

is the iat just hanging or is it installed in the cold air intake?i would say if your getting a code for the map sensor thats probably your problem

It is installed in the cold air intake, i got a line on an 01 LX today, and that one doesn't have nearly as many problems as this one, this one is going to be sold or scrapped, its not worth the time or money, just too many problems.

Yes, common sense as in he is throwing a code for the map sensor so that is probably the problem? I think the op pretty much answered his own question before he even got all the way through the post.

If it is throwing codes, fix what it is throwing the codes for!

just because its installed dosent mean it might not need to be replaced and i would fix the map sensor and sell it you will get hardly nothing at the scrap yard for it.

Time out just because you have a code for something doesn't mean that is what is wrong. In this case yes the map. Replacing a sensor because a code scanner says so is dumb. A check engine light comes on because something triggers it to, you can end up spending a ton of money for no reason. Always research before just buying replacement parts. Just a little professional opinion.
