I planned on turning my CEL to a vtec light, ricer? i know but i just want different things. But in that case how would i do that? instead of leaving my CEL light connected, could i just disconect it ad run it off of the vtec solenoid??

...how will you know when you have a cel code then??
why not use one of the empty spots?
there are tutorials maybe on here or somewhere on google you can search up that'll tell you exactly how to do it

you can also buy a chipped ecu and set it to turn on the cel as a shift light and i think it works for vtec to. like others said use a empty slot and run a wire like you said off the vtec soleniod to the light

agree with everyone else dont use the cel
you will never know if it is throwing the check engine light, think about how many things can throw a cel and then think that you wouldnt know about them.
