I've tried it but never had great results. It's supposed to be good but you have to buy a ton for it to be effective and it's expensive. It's not really cost-effective and leaves a mess behind so I'm not a big fan personally.
i didnt use dynamat exactly, i used a similar brand that was better when i worked in a audio shop. i forget what its called, but it made a decent difference. lost a lot of vibration and i had it on my floor and it was decently quieter. though when i removed it all, holy s*** was it a lot of weight i cut out. i recommend it if you arent trying to reduce weight and have vibration issues
So my friend just called me and I asked what he used to quiet his car down. He said he went to Lowe's and got some roofing insulation stuff and it weighs half of dynamat. He swears that it reduces road noise and everything. Anyone else tried this?
I haven't yet but probably going to do my trunk if I put a system in my civic but I did my buddys celica was a lot of work but deff worth it think they have a spray as well haven't tried that yet though
I just picked up a pack of Dynamat Extreme, about 36 sq. ft. I plan to lay it on the floor of my car under the carpet, within the next week or so. I'll post it in my build thread once I'm done
I've heard that using the stuff for roofing isn't good in a car because it has toxins and stuff like that in it, it's designed for houses and vents out into the air and I guess all that garbage will go into your interior.
