Well im home. Slept for a couple hours.

So i ordered a couple parts during the drive. Doubt they will be here by Christmas.

I think im going to order some big stuff tomorrow and try and clean up my brakes a bit more when i go to the shop.

I feel like this build us getting boring, but i guess thats what happens when u r having an engine built.

what parts did you order?
Well turns out i didnt do enough research before i got the thunderbird rear end and the lug pattern is wrong. So i ordered some 5x108 to 5x114.3 wheel adapters. Nothing big.

I am tempted to buy my new control arms that i want but theyre a grand and i dont feel like spending upwards of 6 grand in a month if my engine build is on the high side if their quote.

Guess i can always wait til after Christmas and see how the finances are sitting.

Well i put my brake/hub setup in the solvent bath at work today. Gonna leave them in there all night and grab them out tomorrow.

I also priced out the other parts i wanted to order today. I thought they were gonna be about $700. But after adding everything i need they are right at a grand. Thats a little more than i want to spend right now. But i really need them.
Guess we will see....

Budgeting sucks! I can't beleive I was able to order something at all, I needed new hardware for a lot of peices in my suspension, and a new oem complete grille. That s**t was 170$! Now I gotta start saving all over again to have some wiggle room once more.

I wish what i needed was only $170. But i know what u mean man. Wanting and needing stuff and knowing u shouldnt be spending money sucks.

Ya. I dont have to make a house payment until february 1st so i might just order some stuff. Trying to put as much money into savings as possible right now. I wish i had a total amount for my engine rebuild so i knew if i had an extra $2500 to spend or not. I should have a total in a week or so.

The grime was on there really good. I left them in the solvent tank for two days and scrubbed the s**t out of them and sprayed them with a case of starting fluid. Still not clean so i decided to leave them in the solvent tank all weekend and then ill deal with them after they soak. I want to get them as clean as possible so i can repaint everything and get them ready to install. Now i just need Jeff to come through on those wheels!
