I recently purchased new headlights for my 99 EK3.. my old headlights had a small bulb in the main headlight housing which could be used as a daytime running light, how ever the new headlights do not have a hole for those lights. I was wondering if there was a way to connect the DRL to my indicator bulbs so they can be used as the DRL.

Those little lights are called city lights. Just turn on your parking lights and that's basically drl

I am 99% sure your new headlights should have a slot for the city lights. You just have to drill through and install the city light sockets/pigtail/bulbs. I'm just not sure if the hole in the headlight has the little tabs that allow the city light socket to lock in place. You may have to find another way of mounting them so they stay in place.

where did you buy the headlights from as depending on if they are OEM or not they might not have them, and also the area they came from could be it as well
