Well to start things off, I'm new to site. And the build I want to do is for my first car (I dnt even have yet :/)
My planned build in mind
95 Honda EJ1
B18 block
B16 head
Mazda miata pistons
4-1 headers.
That's all I have so far :/ very vague. Any suggestions?

Heard from my good friend (who had an EJ) that they are a tighter fit. Also stated that most ppl haven't heard about doing that mod

Upon google searching i notice miata guys use honda pistons because they are cheaper.

Idk y u would want to use miata pistons when honda pistons work just fine.

I'm all for trying new things but first things first, get the car before you ask for help on how to build it. So many variables in life that by the time you actually own a car, you may be at a different time in your life where a Honda isn't the path you choose to go down. Just my .02

Also... Tell your friend to put the drugs down.. Just sayn'

I understand, I'm like 90% of affording the car. But I dnt want it sitting stock, that's why I came here. I've always wanted an EJ to work on but there's so much stuff out there that I dnt know what combination of mods I want to do. I only know the basics. Reason why
"help/recommendations" is in title

Please do some research. Other than the miata pistons, everything you have asked for has been covered for decades now. To put it the best way I can, you aren't any different than the other thousands of kids that come on here asking what to do to their vehicles. Harsh or not, it's the truth and to be honest the answer always ends up the same. If you can't find something by browsing the site, THEN come back and ask.

Like Alaska said, it's kind of hard when you don't even have a car yet. No sense in throwing money at something you don't even have. Get the car, then start building. Form a plan and a direction after you get the vehicle in your possession or you might as well throw money down the drain.

I suggest reading a bunch of other car builds to see what is common, take the time to understand why they are common and not just wild and crazy, then decide if it's worth it to you to Jong the crowd of common mods or branch and be wild, and if you go the wild route, find out why it hadn't been already or often and reevaluate your decision.

Yeah like everyone has said get the car first and see where you stand. Then do a ton of research on what you might want to go with. Only you can decide exactly what you want to do to your car.

Will do guys, I read a couple of your guys' builds and thought "holy sh*t I have a lot to learn" I will most definitely be back with a car. I just wanted to have a plan b4 hand so I can go right into modding

goin that way is fine...you need a plan before you start throwing money around....but you also need the car too.... cuz you may need to fix something first before you put something on.
