99 civic knock sensor cel is on. code p0325

all right guys im new to this and i did search this whole site and didnt find a problem like mine answered. okay well about 2 weeks ago my cel light came on and the code was p0325 so i unpluged the battery to reset it and it came back on the other day and wont go away now. the car runs fine and still gets the same mpg. the car has a d16y8 in it . what do i do? is the sensor bad ? i dont want to replace it if something wrong with the motor ? please help . thanks guys

Well since you've already scanned the car, and it's given you a code for the knock sensor, replace the knock sensor! They are notorious for being broken relatively easily.

okay i will change it. so that code is for a bad knock sensor? i just thought its telling me that my engine is knocking ? if the engine is knocking does it put out another code? thanks for the reply

Generally, if you have a knock, it will give you a misfire code (from my experience), something specific. They are separate codes. P0325 in particular points to a faulty knock sensor. Replace that, and you should be good to go! And no problem! :thumbs up

thanks man . how did you change yours did you take off the manifold or you went from the bottom of the car . my knock sensor is located right above the oil filter . kind of a tough spot ?
