Likewise, very few phrases and sayings of that sort are used in those parts. In fact there isnt much of a specific accent in the west or PNW, except spanish.

there's accents everywhere. we just don't notice the ones we speak or are most familiar with. take it from a foreigner lol
Nah, there is no such thing as a PNW accent. Southern,New York,Jersey,Wisconsin,Canadian, any european,asian, hispanic etc. When I moved to Ohio( which is very mixed, some people have a southern type while others who live on the other side of a small town have none) I asked others if they thought I had an accent. Same goes down here in MS, they can tell I am not from the south, but they cant tell me where Im from. They just know I did not grow up around here. IDK what you could say it is, or why it is that way.

People not from my city pronounce it differently than people from it. And it's just a random city in western NY.
