the b20 swap route as far as engine swaps go is one of the least expensive ones to do, it loves to be turboed and you can keep the power steering and the ac (but youll have to get a different ac bracket from the si or del sol, cant really remember but look it up)

and you only have to really raise the car when you do a h22 swap becuase it sits real f***in low in the engine bay

You really are clueless on d series aren't you?

nope, im actually not. but its a daily, so turbo ls would be most reliable and they i find the trans very weak. i know a few people who blow through them and they make a d to b kit

also full gsr swaps go for 1800-2k all day. atleast in pa

boost the d you wont regret it. A turbo civic can be just as reliable as a stock civic its all a matter of how good you get it tuned, i drove over 3.5 hours to find a good reliable tuner and when i got there i knew i was in good hands when he had 2 full blown racecars that run over 11 second quarter miles. if you take your time you can find used turbo kits for decent prices then just have the turbo rebuilt before you install it.

if you swap in a gsr you will not need a tune, the full swap comes with complete motor, tranny, ecu and all that good stuff that made it run in the car it came out of. you might need an obd conversion harness to plug the ecu into your car though if you get a different year motor from your car

lol b20.
all the money it takes to get it in isn't worth the small increase in output. It has potential, but that = even more money.

Just turbo the D. Stock internals won't have it in the mid 200's, but it'll have a pretty fat torque curve and a lot more pep for less money than a B swap and upgrades are the least expensive.
