I'm currently piecing together the exhaust for my 2000 coupe but I'm having trouble finding a obd2 compliant 2.5 inch cat that won't set off the cel. What do you all recommend?

idk but i know that theres a some way to trick your 02 sensor to throw a false positive that way you can run whatever cat you want

IF you are subject to emissions testing, just keep the stock cat. In all honesty the gain is only like 3whp going from stock to a high flow direct fit. Back in my young days, when we had testing around here, almost everyone I knew had an exhaust to bolt on for testing, and one for the rest of the year.

My old boosted coupe had a $70 cat from a muffler shop on it, we don't do testing here anymore, but I had no check lights from it. That car made just over 200whp. Feed back is closed loop, so as long as the car is closed loop and doesn't trip the light you should be good.

If u get the high flow cat, get a 02 spacer such as this.

I ordered it from 42 draft designs. Was like $30. Works great. And it being at an angle works out a ton better than the non-fouler trick.

if you have emissons keep the stock cat
if not the magnaflow shouldnt trip the cel because it is a high flow cat and not a test pipe
all most all of the other brands that call them selves high flow cats there are test pipes with no guts whatso ever
that being said i have a megan test pipe and the nonfouler trick
