Hey CC, I know this probably gets posted a lot but my car got broken into again. This has been the 2nd time in 5 months. They break in by jamming the window down and unlocking my door and then pops my hood and break off the alarm. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?!?! I want to invest in my em1 but dont know if its worth it if it keeps getting broken into. sad times =[

unfortunately hondas are stupid easy to brake into. and they dont have to get in ur car to pop ur hood. I can reach inthrough the lower grill and pull on the hood latch cable. Then you run ur fingers across to find the hood pin and hold it down. Then pull out the alarm and it never even went off....So i locate my hood pin up top by the windshield. Im also thinking about welding something to block my hood latch cable. Kill switches, a garage and smart parking is all that will save you.

Ive had a few things stolen and it really is a terrible feeling.

Get a kill switch and i would suggest moving...

I can pop the hood on most civics just by sticking my hand in the bottom grill. I can reach the back of the lock and pop it with my finger tips. For that reason i tell people to put a trigger inder the hood. Anyways you could remove the front and rear bumpers, mount speakers behind those them cover them up or chain down the hood. You can't really stop a thief, most of them are just broke ass kids. So all you can really do is slow them down.

I sold my turbo civic years ago because I got sick of people always messing it up.

How exactly do you know for sure there's a hoodpin though? From the honda peeps i met in real life who arent on forums like us, most of them are too dumb and naive to get an alarm.

Kill switch, locking aero catch hood pins, quick release steering wheel set-up, 2 way alarm with some sort of proxy alarm, garage, killer dog, move.

The suggestions progressively get more involved lol

if you don't want to get an alarm than get a blinking light

It'll at least keep the dumber thieves away.
