buy a hydro trans for the 98 if you want to swap it you can pick them up for next to nothing

i wanna do a full engine swap latter on i just dont got the money right now thats why i was wonder if it was possible to swap trans with the 91 civic or if i would be better off just swapping the engine and tran for right now im looking for a k20a engine or a b18c5 engine to swap out but for right now just need to be able to get back in-fort from work and sence i got the 91 civic from a friend for 300 and the really the only thing wrong with it is the cv joints are out and my 98 civic runs fine just when i drive it i have to start out in d2 then work my way up to d4 if i try to start out in d4 i hit 8000 rmp before it takes off and it wants to do a burn out

the 88 through 91 civic crx used a transmission that used a cable to disengage the clutch. 92 through present day manual transmission civics use a hyrdrolic system to disengage the clutch. the hastle of converting your 98 to use the older trans is not worth it. buy a hundred dollars worth of cv axles and drive the 91 hatch back
