for now i'll just remind you that my engine mounts were polished to a mirror like shine, and the trans in that pic doesn't look much more dull in comparison

^^^ It was quite hard to lay down without a haze. It looks like a really vibrant silver in indirect light. Any direct light on it and it lights up. Makes my brand new RBC manifold look like its filthy lol.i thought that was it, when i painted mine i was debating giving it a shot but voted to go with high temp silver

this shows it a little better. Of course paint won't replicate chrome exactly, but i like the shine nonetheless. You can see a dull reflection of the crank pulley and you can see the light reflecting off the front of the longblock. Almost seems like its a shade lighter but that shine follows you as you move around the motor

Naw, just like any other paint prep. Just a little annoying getting the settled dirt out from all the cast webbing and since these cans of paint dry fast, its hard to not run into some paint haze. I did take my time to do a few dust coats for better coverage.
