Well, my brother got a job about 8.5 miles from here in like december or january or something, can't remember. Anyways, well he was getting to work using my mom's old van. A couple months ago, he totaled it. So, i had to start taking him to work, thinking he would give me gas money. Well, he gets paid bi weekly, about $7-800. I was like, alright I'll get gas money for it, no big deal. So I was doing 17 miles round trip, twice a day. That's Almost 40 miles a day. 6 days a week, that's 240 miles a week. That's a full tank for my teg. which meant I wouldn't be able to go anywhere else. Well, I also go to work, and go out with my girlfriend so I ended up filling up twice a week sometimes.Word. Wanna talk about it?

Don't even worry about it bro, doesn't look to me like you did anything wrongWell, my brother got a job about 8.5 miles from here in like december or january or something, can't remember. He started slacking on giving me my money and I started hassling him about giving it to me. He gave me stories of owing people money and going out a drinking all the time. (seriously, this was almost a daily habit for him) He wouldn't have any money left over to fix the damn del sol sitting in the driveway for the last 4 months, that still doesn't run because of an electrical issue and he said he would take it to the shop to have them deal with it after I told him I was done working on it. After all that, he only wanted to give me $80 for the last 3 weeks I drove him to work, but I filled my tank like 3 or 4 times in the last 3 weeks so I was asking like $100. $35 it takes to fill my 13.3 gallon tank at 3.60 a gallon.
All through this, he said him and a few friends got a house together and he was planning on moving out. (this was 2 weeks ago) He said he was gonna move out last weekend. Well the weekend passed and nothing happened. So yesterday he tells me he was gonna move out tonight and I would help him take his stuff over. Today comes by, I go to work 12-5, come home from a crappy day at work to easter dinner, starving as hell, and my mom tells me I'll have to take my brother to work and take my dad to work as well. So, i got pissed off, and said no. Well, my mom got in a pissy mood.
My girlfriend was telling me that I should stop complaining or do something about it, so I said I would. After dinner, my brother left with his friend, so I texted him that I was NOT going to take him to work, and that he would have to find a ride because I was done being his damn taxi. So his only choice, was to pack his s**t, and get the hell out so he would have a ride from his friend that he lives with. So now my mom is still pissed at me, and I got some angry vibes from my brother. I don't even care. I'm done being a taxi for him. He is such an irresponsible person.
He's 21, and has had 4 or 5 jobs in the last 2 years, all of which he has been fired from. He destroyed my dad's motor in his ford taurus, and totaled my mom's van. He blew the timing belt in his first crx, bought a five speed crx that stopped running due to a main relay, but was too stupid to fix it, and bought the stupid del sol that I swapped the heads on and still doesn't run because of an electrical issue. All in all, his choices are gonna kick him the ass now, and he's gonna grow the f**k up whether he likes it or not.
Don't even worry about it bro, doesn't look to me like you did anything wrong
Pretty much the definition of the word. 19 years of hell with him. He went to a shrink when I was born because he hated me and wanted me dead. I was not even a year old.Your brother sounds like a douche.
He had just left so.Only thing i can see you did wrong was texting him instead of telling him face to face...
wise words dude, and Osiris i feel you homie, sometimes stuff like that happens to meMan, Osiris, that situation sucks. I will tell you this, though. Your will and drive to be independent and stand on your own two feet (unlike your brother) will pay off for you as you get older. I have an older sister (12 years older than me), and a younger step brother (8 years younger than me). My sister is relatively independent.. she put herself through medical school, has always held a job (since she was 17), bought her first car etc. She still gets help from my parents when she's in a REALLY rough bind, but it's rare. My brother has gotten everything handed to him on a silver platter since he was a kid, and is now ridiculously spoiled (his very first car, at 16 years old, was a brand new Chevy Colorado. Brand new off the lot, with 2 miles). Me, I fell in the middle. My folks gave me things, but only as a reward (i.e. I finished highschool about 5 months early, and so they got my sister's old EF sedan off her, and gave it to me. It was s***, but it was a car). I moved out when I was 18, and have been independent since (went through a few unemployment patches due to companies closing etc., but I always paid my bills on my own). I learned from my brother, and from my sister as well, that independence is an admirable and honorable thing, and not everyone has it. Be glad that you do!
I'm now 27 years old, I live in a 2700 sq ft house on a private lake, with one other roommate (who is one of my best friends), I have a ton of goodies, and I make enough money to have plenty left over to goof off with. I work hard for what I have, and I'm proud of it.
