I just feel like I'm not ready. I've never been this nervous for an interview before.

And f**k. It turns out he wants me for the Seattle store. That's a 60 mile commute round trip. Not to mention traffic...
Ouch. I drove 50 miles a day to work at a battery place once, and it would take me almost an hour to get home because of rush hour.

I don't know if I should do it now. I'm like heartbroken...

I do the same. 30 minutes to and from work, a lot of gas

It'll be over an hour each way. Probably an hour and a half on the way back.

Yeah it took me 35-40 minutes in the morning with no traffic, and almost over an hour coming home. I drove my parents' fords at the time, so two less than 20 mpg vehicles sucked.

Go for it. Luckily I leave at about 5:30am so no traffic, and clock out about 2. No way I would be working here if I was stuck in traffic every day. 30 min to and from at about 80mph is a breeze

You're funny. Like I can make my own hours. 8-6 on weekdays and 9-5 on Saturday.

Don't whine, just do it.

That commute is pretty gnar, just make sure you're pay compensates you for it. Stress to him how far you live, and how you have bills to pay. Negotiate smart, and get that little extra bit of pay to make up for the commute.

I drive 26 miles round trip to work. It's 30 minutes each way. f**king Southern California traffic.. haha
Getting home can take me up to an hour.

:word:

When I joined here I had a 40 mile commute one way, plus school 5 days a week. I put 1k miles on my coupe in one week.

I could't live in socal, one of my dad's plants is in Carson, the employees say it takes 2 hours sometimes for a 20 mile commute. f**k that noise.

Yep, that sounds about right. And I live an hour away from LA/bigger cities haha. It's STILL really bad out here.

The most I have ever commutted was an hour and half each way for a 15 dollar an hour sweeping job in a weld shop. The bonus is that I learned to weld and now that's what I do for a living. I had a diesel smart car at the time so I was getting 60+ mpg. I put 10" alpine type r in the back to keep me company on the commute. The new gas smart cars with the 1 liter Mitsubishi only gets 40 mpg and you have to run it on premium so I would rather drive my civic. Plus I only commute 5 minutes to work in Edmonton.

I used to commute like 3 miles, but my pay wasn't great. I get paid significantly more, so I'm still making a lot more money haha.
1.5 miles right hurr
